Yes, you do have some homework this weekend!

1. Read your novels. Remeber by Wednesday, you should have read 30 more pages at least. Your goal is to read at least 30 pages a week. More if you can. If your book is too hard, change it! Find one that you can understand about 70% Save the more difficult novels for another quarter when your reading is better. :)
2. Building Vocabulary Skills Book - Do pages 10 and 11 without your dictionary as much as possible. Rely on the context to help you understand and know the word well. Our plan with this book is to do Chapter 1,2, and 3 with class discussion. However, Chapters 4 and 5 will totally be by yourself. (You can ask questions of course, but we won't plan to spend a lot of time on those two chapters.) Next week, we will have a quiz over Unit 1 which includes Chapters 1-5.
3. Finish your introduction of yourself on your blog. Remember to follow the tips that I gave you! Please read 2 other classmates blogs and make comments (at least 25 words each)
4. Next week, we will begin Chapter 4 on Supporting Details. If you have time, you should begin previewing pages 149-157.
5. Take some time to relax and do some fun things this long weekend. See you on Tuesday!
